Hen Houses for our local marshes

Every season our local native species begin their annual hunt for the best possible nesting locations available. We want them to find these as readily as possible, to help encourage growth and longevity of species.

We as a chapter have been and will continue to implement nesting boxes and hen houses into the local habitat to help our birds find success each nesting season. Florida’s Mottled Mallard is a prime example of this process, and has displayed great success and habit to utilizing the materials provided. Reducing predation and water fluctuation hazards, these nest sites help to encourage and produce greater numbers of birds, which in turn encourages that much more natural reproduction.
